The Fujifilm X-A5 is capable of taking sharp detailed photos, with excellent colour reproduction, thanks to Fujifilm's trusted colour technology. The lack of an X-Trans sensor isn't as big an issue as you'd think, as APS-C CMOS quality is very good with great noise performance. The 15-45mm lens is convenient, compact, and gives better than expected macro performance, however for best results you'll find the Fujifilm X mount prime lenses (including premium XF lenses) give excellent results. If you want a good quality camera, with very good image quality, and don't need 4K video recording then the Fujifilm X-A5 is a good choice, however, the slow frame rate for video recording (at 15fps), makes 4K video pretty unusable for video work. If video isn't your main priority, then the FullHD video mode is good. There is a range of options at this price point, and the Fujifilm X-A5 makes a compelling case for itself.
